A) telephone lines B) modem C) coaxial cable D) microwave system
This is a networking related question and the first 3 options are obviously suitable for the transmission medium.
1) Telephone lines- As we know that the landline in our home needs some type of connection line or cables to transmit our voice from one place to another. This is only possible through Telephone lines laid down our streets for enabling such transmission.
2) Modem - Nowadays, we cannot find a home without a wi-fi or internet connection. The modem is a device which routes the packets( containing our messages and pictures etc.) from source (your device) to destination (your friend's device)
3) Coaxial Cable- It is popularly known as "CAT" cables. Some of the types are CAT5, CAT7. These are popularly used for LAN connection. You can find such cables in our colleges, Offices etc. They are also used for transmission of bits through the physical medium.
4) Microwave System - I've never come across this term in networks for being used as a transmission medium. But I believe this is generally used for transmitting only electromagnetic waves.
