ROM is the read only memory but RAM is the random-access memory or read and write memory .

There is one major difference between a ROM (read-only memory) and a RAM (random-access memory) chip: ROM can hold data without power and RAM cannot. Essentially, ROM is meant for permanent storage, and RAM is for temporary storage

Ram (Random access memory) is a primary memory, it is work space where it will load all program for access as per our need, instructions.

Rom (read only memory) is the memory which is  used for pre defined programs which holds all system programs to cater our needs

ROM is a storage space where you store data permanently unless or until you edit that data again. You may not access a ROM frequently. For example, when you are typing, you are storing data immediately and sequentially in a RAM.But as you SAVE your document, you store your data in ROM permanently, unless you edit it again.
Data in RAM (but not in ROM) is lost in absence of power supply.

every file that runs goes into the ram,it extracts the necessary resources from rom whenever required. but in order to execute the file it has to go in the random access memory. every reboot and/Or power loss resets the ram memory. ram isn't permanent. rom is permanent. every data stored in rom is stored permanently unless it's modified/removed by administrator.

RAM is a memory or storage space that you access frequently or randomly. For example, when you are working on a software, you are actually frequently visiting the RAM to store some peices of data. RAM is a temporary data storage facility.
