AFCAT is an acronym that stands for Air Force Common Admission Online Test is a National level competitive examination conducted by India Air Force in order to select eligible candidates for flying branch and permanent commission (PC) and short service commission (SSC) in Ground duty (Technical and non-technical branches). Candidates having the motivation to join the Indian Air Force and wish to serve their Nation should definitely attempt to crack the examination. Aspirants will be required to fill the application form that will be accessible online on the official website of the conducting body. Application forms are available from 1 June 2019 and will be available till 30 June 2019. Aspirants are here by informed that no application will be acceptable thereafter. Date of Examination is yet to be announced by the organizing authority.
Aspirants are required to pay the application fee as framed by the conducting authority in order to submit the AFCAT Application form 2019 successfully. There is no application fee for NCC Special Entry and Metrology Entry. Candidates can pay the application fee via online mode through debit card, credit card and net banking. Application fee will be acceptable via offline mode through E-challan.
Now, official Authority has framed a set of rules and regulation which are required to be fulfilled by the candidates under AFCAT Eligibility Criteria 2019. An Eligibility criterion is framed considering factors like Nationality, Educational Qualification, age limit, physical requirements. Candidates can check the detailed eligibility criteria from the following points:
AFCAT Entry:
Flying: Candidate must have Bachelor degree in any stream with physics and mathematics to be core subjects in class 12th. Age of candidate must be 20 to 24 as on 1 July 2020.
Ground Duty Technical: Candidate must have degree of Aeronautical Engineering electronics with intermediate passeds with 60% in mathematics and physics and minimum 4 year graduation/integrated PG degree in Engineering/ Technology. OR Candidate must have degree of Aeronautical Engineering mechanical with intermediate passed with 60% in mathematics and physics and minimum 4 year graduation/technology degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, aeronautical engineering or equivalent degree. Age limit of the aspirant is 20 to 26 from 2 July 1994 to 1 July 2000.
Ground Duty Non-Technical (Administration and logistics) - Candidate must have bachelor’s degree in any stream with an aggregate of 60%. Age limit of the aspirant is 20 to 26. Height of the candidate must be 157.5 CMS (Male candidate) and 152 CMS (Female Candidate).
Ground Duty Non-technical (Accounts) - Candidate must have bachelor’s degree in commerce with an aggregate of 60%. Age limit of the aspirant is 20 to 26. Height of the candidate must be 157.5 CMS (Male candidate) and 152 CMS (Female Candidate).
Ground Duty Non-technical (Education) -Candidate must have MBA/MCA/MA/M.Sc degree with an aggregate of 50%. Age limit of the aspirant is 20 to 26. Height of the candidate must be s157.5 CMS (Male candidate) and 152 CMS (Female Candidate).
Ground Duty Non-technical (Meteorology) -Candidate must have master’s degree from any recognized university of India. Age limit of the aspirant is 20 to 26.
NCC Special Entry (Flying) - Candidate must have NCC Air wing senior division ‘C’ certificate and other details as per the eligibility of flying branch. Age limit of the aspirant is 20 to 24.
Metrology Entry (Ground Duty Non-Technical) - Age limit of the aspirant is 20 to 26.
