There are Three incorporated loggin evil spirits 

1)syslogd 

2)klogd 

3)auditd 

klogd:- gather log record made by the Kernel 

syslogd:- Collect log record made by the framework 

auditd:- Collect log record made by the SELinux 

Subsequent to gathering the log framework store sign on various area 

/var/log/dmesg:- Created at boot time, by piece 

/var/log/messages:- standard framework blunder message, 

/var/log/secure:- verification related log 

/var/log/maillog:- Mial related log 

/var/log/review/audit.log:- Selinux related log 

We can divert the log by arranging 

/and so forth/sysconfig/syslog 

/and so forth/syslog.conf
