First of all, I am just giving my point of view and if anything given in my suggestion is offensive in anyways to anyone, I apologize in advance.
Software testing is very boring is the discussion, so here is my point
Everything is boring even eating our food daily, unless and until we think something is interesting.
It's our passion that drives towards anything. So if Software testing is boring for any persons, then they've lead their career in a wrong path and they have to redeem themselves and choose a new career in a different stream.

Software testing (apart from general point of view) is a very interesting process, for example, there is a 5 star hotel and a customer makes an order, the chef prepares the dish, so before the waiter serves it to the customer, the chef or the superior to him checks the dish and if it's not good, they'll prepare it again, now imagine that the food is not tasty and no one checked(tested) it and the waiter served the dish to the customer, what happens? the reputation of the hotel gets damaged even they lose their 5 star status.

Like that in IT industries, the developers does an excellent job of developing the software carefully, but there may be bugs, faults etc. then the customer is not satisfied and the firm's reputation gets damaged, a software testing is like a topping or decorations which tends to increase a quality of a product.
Testing is not just finding fault and bugs, we can even test new and effecient solution.
Software testing is something great which cannot be compromised.
