Which type of governor is used in 4 wheeler's?

In a modern 4 wheeler, NO governor is present. The work of the governor is done by the MAP(Manifold Absolute Pressure) Sensor, located on the intake manifold.
Governors were present inside diesel fuel injection pumps before arival of Common rail Direct Injection system. It used to be a Hartnell Governor.
