which cad software is best to learn regarding its need?

I am looking to learn cad software so as to work for my major project and also i am looking for software that has scope in future too.

I believe that CATIA and Siemens NX are the most common in the automotive industry, but I'd be surprised if just about everything is used at some company. When I interview a new grad, however, the the things I care about is whether they can solve problems effectively, know the basics of mechanical design, have expereince making things and most importantly have passion for mechanical design.
