State the baltic countries name?

There are countries in word which grouped in baltic countries and balkan countries. Can anyone explain the name and difference between them?

After World War I the new sovereign states that emerged on the east coast of the Baltic sea - Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania and during the Interwar period, Finland - became known as "The Baltic states".
