Differences between HTML, DHTML and XML are followings :

1) HTML stands for HyperText Markup Language whereas, DHTML stands for Dynamic HyperText Markup Language and whereas, XML Stands for Xtensible Markup Language

2) HTML is static whereas, DHTML and XML are dynamic 

3) HTML is a markup language. whereas, DHTML is a collection of technologies that are used to create interactive and animated websites. whereas XML provides a framework to define a markup language

4) HTML can ignore small errors, whereas DHTML gives more control over the HTML elements. whereas, XML does not allow errors.

5) HTML and DHTML tags are used for displaying the data whereas, XML tags are used for describing the data not for displaying.

6) HTML and DHTML are not preserved white spaces whereas the White space can be preserved in XML.

7) In HTML and DHTML, closing tags are not necessary whereas, In XML, closing tags are necessary.

8) HTML and DHTML are not case sensitive whereas, XML is case sensitive
