why cmos is preferred in vlsi design ?

why other transistor are not preferred...?

    Reduce the complexity of the circuit

    2.cmos has Very low static power consumption than transistor 
    3.cmos reduce the complexity of the circuit in comparision with transistor
    4.switching rate is more in cmos than in transistor
    5.cmos have high packing density
    6.cmos has less area than transistor so more no. of cmos can fit in the chip as compared to transistor
    7.cmos chips have lot more susceptibility to static discharge compared to transistor chips
