why our Integrated circuit are mostly fabricated by silicon?
why not its manufactured by germanium?

Silicon and Germanium both are used for electronic purpose..But comparing Germanium to silicon, silicon has greater efficiency as forward voltage drop is 0.7 while Germanium has 0.3 and one more thing silicon is a very good insulator so technologies get easily processed...
