if energy can neither be created nor destroyed how was it initially created

I am in bewilderment with the first law of thermodynamics. I am not doubting its validity but my conscience feels a bit hazy about it.

According to first law of thermodynamics energy can not be created nor destroy but it can be transformed from one form to another. Energy available in nature which we are convert one form to another
