What is the LEAP program and is it better than the courses offered by various HM courses offered by institutes?

  • The LEAP program is basically Learn Earn and Prosper program launched by various leading hotel groups such as The Oberoi Maidens, ITC group of hotels and others. They allow students to undergo on-the-job training enabling them to earn while they study and gain all the required practical knowledge. They help stuents of LEAP program by enrolling them for graduation through open schools and these students are then absorbed in the same hotels upon completion of their course. They are also paid a stipend during the duration of the ccourse which varies from hotel to hotel. In my opinion, this is better than regular HM courses offered by institutes where students gain very less practical knowledge and also need to apply for jobs after their course completion.
