If I were to verbalize the golden crux of OO to someone who knows nothing about computer science, how should I go about it?? I got motivated to think this question by remembering an quote of Einstein who had once said that "if you can't explain simply then probably you haven't understood it well enough". I really want to get the nitty-gritty nuts and bolts of OO,after all it's such an important paradigm for software construction. I guess knowing it from its' core would help me to able to internalize it well. I had taken SD1x on edX where we were taught OO principles, and also I took course 1 of Intermediate Java Specialization on coursera,I did well in both of the courses but I don't think I have really understood really the essence, the heart of OO. I wonder what would have been the motivation for the innovation of OO. I strongly encourage my peer learners to have a heated discussion on this topic and shed some more fine lights on it and make it even more cleaner to me. Thanks everyone and looking forward to see in the discussion :)
