It is not so i am also anchor in my college .It is anchor's responsibility to grab the attention of audience .also audience loves drama , acting,jokes so try to add that too in it script will help u to not be ignoredModal content

Because most of the times audience is focused on performances so they wait for the anchor to go as soon as possible....Modal content

they come into limelight only during the peak days of festivities otherwise they are doomed in teh darkModal content

because of the following reasons
time consuming
unnecessary talks
concentrated only to the theme of the festival
for a college students anchor is not necessary. for a festival basic theme will be important.
but in the television anchors are very important as they should manage the suitation,make others to think and laugh by his body language and his speech,etc............
