Is it one phase count neutral?
The voltage between phase and neutral is called phase voltaltage.The voltage betwee two line is called line voltage .3 phase system is expressed with line voltages. The line votage is 440 volt. Also the voltage between any one phase and neutral for a 3 phase system is 240 volts.
In three phase power line, each phase is 120 degree from the other phase.therefore, when we draw a graph of phases then two phases have positive values then at the same time the third one has negative value so we can calculate and use only two phases at a time.all three phases changes their position every time so the two phase may be phases 1 &2/phases 1&3 or phases 2&3 gives the values and at the same times phase 3 or 2 or 1 will be at negative interval respectively so cannot be calculated or contribute the value. that's the reason we use 440v instead of 660v
Because in signal phase u take voltage between phase and neutral. In a three phase u take voltage between phase to phase so that
BECAUSE IN THREE PHASE WE CALCULATE LINE TO LINE VOLTAGE, FOR CALCULATING THREE PHASE VOLTAGE WE USE ROOT THREE
three phase voltage is 440 voltage. but for per phase it is divided by root 3.that is 240 volt
In 3phase 3single phases are there.so 2single phase across the voltage 440v

440V in 3 phase system is line to line voltage if you calculate per phase voltage then you will get approximate same value as for 1 phase system.

Voltage are added with vector summation. In single phase, Voltage = 230 volts In 3 phase , line voltage in star connection is √3* phase voltage = √3 *230 volts = 400 volts. In 3 phase , line voltage in delta connection is 230 only.
Single phase means one phase and neutral it'svoltage is 240 but 3 phase means 3 phase wires it's voltage is 440
