How to import data in Tally ERP?

  • The data that has to be Imported should be in .xml format.
    Import of vouchers are only successful when the company to which the data is imported has same masters i.e. ledgers, sub-groups and groups should be same. Otherwise data wont be successfully imported.

  • First you have to export data i.e. All Masters, All Vouchers as per need. Then if you're importing that data to another Company or Same Company next Accounting Year, open it then import data and make sure you remember the exact name of the Export Output .xls File

  • Gateway of Tally > Import of Data > Masters In Import of Masters screen, enter the required filename in Import File Name

  • In order to import data in Tally from an excel sheet, you can simply get the data import tool. It will import all your data. Thus you do not have to manually type the data.

  • Go to GATEWAY OF TALLY then to IMPORT OF DATA >MASTERS
    In IMPORT OF MASTERS screen,enter the required filename in IMPORT FILE NAME flied and select the required BEHAVIOUR in TREATMENT OF ENTRIES ALREADY EXISTING flied.
