Glycogen Transportation: How is it done?

Glycogen is a huge molecule. It is made in the liver. It is stored in the muscles. But: how is it transported to the muscles from the liver? isn't it too big to be transported in the bloodstream?

  • liver and muscles both contain glycogen . Glycogen  is a form  of reserved energy in the living organisms and it consists of the structure of gluclose. Glucose is a small molecule so that it can travel through the bloodstreams.Glycogen is made up of structure of glucose.Glycogen is generally stored in the form of carbohydrates.Both liver and muscles contain glycogen but liver can convert glycogen back to glucose but muscles cannot.
    Therefore the glucose can easily travel through the bloodstream from the liver to the muscles.
