  • Business Development involves exploring new clients, new market areas for the existing or new product lines of a company.
    The compentencies required for these roles are fluency in speaking (language no bar), ability to grasp product knowledge, ability to scan and scope the market and prospective clients, self-confidence, etc.
    Hence for freshers to be inducted as Business Dev Executives, questions similar to following can be expected:
    1 - How will you approach new clients?
    2 - How will you prospect clients in any market?
    3 - What do you understand by pricing and margins?
    4 - Tell us 5 uses of this product
    5 - Why do you think you can sell?
    6 - Give us names of 5 competitors of our brand
    7 - What are USP (unique selling points) of our competition?
    8 - What will you do if a client says no for a meeting or doesn't want to try our product?
    9 - What will you do if a client asks discounts higher than approved?
    etc. etc.
