  • When we create an abstract class, we are creating a base class that might have one or more completed methods but at least one or more methods are left uncompleted and declared abstract. If all the methods of an abstract class are uncompleted then it is same as an interface. The purpose of an abstract class is to provide a base class definition for how a set of derived classes will work and then allow the programmers to fill the implementation in the derived classes.

  • -->In Abstract Classes we have Abstract mathods(Undifine methodes) and data members.
-->Where as In Interfaces only Abstract mathods.

  • Abstract Class Vs. Interface: Explore the Difference between Abstract Class and Interface in Java. The Abstract class and Interface both are used to have abstraction. An abstract class contains an abstract keyword on the declaration whereas an Interface is a sketch that is used to implement a class.

  • An Abstract class doesn't provide full abstraction but an interface does provide full abstraction; i.e. both a declaration and a definition is given in an abstract class but not so in an interface.
Using Abstract we can not achieve multiple inheritance but using an Interface we can achieve multiple inheritance.
