Is Reservation needed or not?

It was one topic asked for us in Group Discussion round in Campus Placement. Where there were equal discussions made on against and in favor.

If we think after giving reservations on caste base, even there is no equality in society, only the way like sudden demonetization in country, pm should declare like there is no caste in India ,only religion there, and abolish the reservations
