Is there an alternative to Excel tables in Google Sheets?

Google Sheets doesn't have the same functionality as Excel when it comes to Tables. The best function to use in this scenario is INDIRECT(). Here is a good writeup on StackOverflow on how to use INDIRECT() to mimic the way Tables dynamically change in Excel when new data is added: Google Spreadsheet sum which always ends on the cell above
