The role of software engineer is categorized as software life cycle development along with different models such as waterfall model(very basic model),prototype model,spiral model,incremental model.First of all the software engineer have to collect all the requirements of client by interacting with them.The second phase is to analyze all the requirements given by client.The third phase is designing a prototype based on client requirements and getting approval from client on showing that prototype.The 4th phase is coding and that is given to the testing team and finally the project is handover to the client after alpha and beta test.The last phase of software life cycle is maintaining the project eventhough after handovered to client.
