Karad is a city in the Satara district in southern part of Indian state of Maharashtra. It lies at confluence on Koyana and Krishna River. Karad is also known for sugar production and well known as sugar bowl of Maharashtra owing to many sugar factories in and around Karad. It is considered as presence of important educational hub invest in Maharashtra due to presence of many prestigious educational institution. This place is also known for resting place of our first Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Yashwantrao Chavan. As city provides good educational as well as industrial facilities, population of city goes on increasing due to which private vehicles also increases. More over there is also the facility of local buses and private vehicle parking due to which there is heavy movement of vehicle, so congestion of people and vehicle causes chances of major accidents. Also the roadside drains provided along roads get blocked during rainy reason and thus create obstruction to the traffic flow
