Responsibilities
  • Commissioning of KWU Turbine Generator instrumentation. Turbine supervisory system and governing system commissioning.
    • Atlas Copco air compressor, Hitachi UPS and Battery commissioning.
    • DCS installation, troubleshooting, modification and testing.
    • Installation, Commissioning & Calibration of field instrumentation.
    • Working with Auto-loops, PID tuning,Sequence control logics and automation of machines.
    • Integrating MAXDna DCS with standalone PLC systems of balance of Plant (BOP), Networking, Configuration of Alarms, Event servers.
    • Configuration of Historians, PCAL ( Performance calculator), Inter domain link PC ( MAXLink), OPC server and client configuration.
    • Logic simulation and testing, Bug fixing for entire FSSS( Furnace safeguard supervisory system) and Turbine EHTC(Electro hydraulic governing system).
    • Interfacing field equipment with Metso MAXDna DCS, HMS (Hart Management System), Commissioning of Auto loops, Sequence control logic and Process automation.

Developed Furnace heat maps to observe real time gas flow through boiler Super heater and Re heater tubes and indicate soot deposition which was a first in MaxDNA DCS system for BHEL 250MW and 600MW boilers.
Full fledged mobile wireless DCS workstation

Portable HMI system designed for commissioning activities to implement hassle-free checking of equipments.
