How to Fix 403 Forbbiden Error on your server?

Hey, I just launched my first website using Linode and I followed some instructions online. Tried accessing the website after I launched it and it gave me " Forbidden You don't have permission to access this resource". Any ideas on what I did wrong ?

  check file permissions and set correctly make sure index file is present check htaccess file for wrong rules check server configuration check ownership of files

  The 403 Forbidden error appears when your server denies you permission to access a page on your site. This is mainly caused by a faulty security plugin, a corrupt . htaccess file, or incorrect file permissions on your server.
