Practise is the best way, if u hav access to a lab then practise in the lab, bt if u r new comer to the lab then u need proper guidence, there some skills which u can learn in labs i.e good lab practices, then if u r going for instruments then u need proper knowledge abt it then only u can use it.....but in the end all depends on ur interests towards learning .The more u r exposed to lab environment the more u will improve ur lab skills.
