  • I was assigned to do project work in Valves section in BHEL. The project objectives were to analyse material utilisation and reworks done in valves and to suggest possible improvements. For material utilisation, valves with high scrap rate and sale value were identified and segregated out using SAP. For rework, registers from various sections of shop floor were collected and compiled. Most common reworks were analysed. Finally brainstorming with shop floor people was done to arrive at possible suggestions.
