Oracle Data Warehouse Migration to Hadoop

Operational Business Intelligence is using Oracle for both as an OLTP and a Data warehouse. Due to capacity limitation, only 2 years’ worth of data could be kept in Oracle and the previous data needs to be archived.
Besides the obvious cost benefits, Hadoop was proposed as a solution to kept the data in a warm state enabling analysis on a logical historical data since the regulatory requirement need the data to be stored for 7 years. The longer held warm data provides opportunities for analysis that were not of before.
Since the migration dealt structured and semi-structured data together in a single table, data transfer using sqoop was challenging due to inherent limitation with the tool. Multiple data cleansing and structured approaches were tested before suggesting the solution to OBI.

Dell Global Contacts

This Project Incorporates Analysing Global Contacts which includes Repeats and Dispatches Made by Dell international agent from American Business Unit, European Middle East, Africa & Asia Pacific Japan after verifying all necessary diagnostic and troubleshooting to reduce the cost of DELL contacts and avoid repeats or minimize the same.
Analysis performed on data pulled by dedicated server team to find out Dell Work Flow and there strategies and methods for solving customer issues.
Providing outcome as per client flexible requests on the basis of continuously changing business requirements and heat emitting areas/ burning issues
Identifying areas of improvement and recommending process modifications to enhance operational efficiencies of the process.
