My Story
Bachelor Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Visveshwarya Technological University on 07/2013. Currently working in Tata Motors CVBU Pantnagar, as senior associate. Here iam associated with engine emission testing &validation, Engine calibration, engine quality team. Earlier Tata Motors pne in engine warranty mangement. A total of 2yrs in automotive QA

Responsibilities
  • Engine emission and engine dyno testing lab team member. Testing emission concentration of different vehicle model and giving feedback to engine production quality. Engine Calibration, troubleshooting diesel engine problems. Changing different parameters in engines to see scope of it on emission results. Engine Calibration and Power train Engineer. Analysis of DICOR engines. Working of Engine Emission analyzer by HORIBA group. Also work closely with COP team for selection and preparing of vehicles for emission testing according to norms provided by govt.authority. earlier Warranty management, Technical coordinator in M&HCV vehicle quality assurance. Iam responsable for reporting with all diesel engines warranty quality reports, monitoring IPTV & EPV of plants on fortnightly basis, address critical product issues, analyzing failures from the central SAP BW data system finding root cause of failures with customer quality team M&HCV vehicles.

Optimization of surface roughness of an alloy using Quality Engineering techniques.

In the the project we have done CNC turning of a 10meter Al T-6 alloy divided in 10 parts, each of 1meter length. By controlling different parameters (nose redius, cuttung angle, cutting speed) while CNC turning we found different surface roughness. Thn by using Taguchie's L9 orthogonal array method we found the best parameters at which surface roughness is best Ra measurment is least.
