A N D R O I D J E L L Y B E A N 4.1.1 So when i bought Samsung GALAXY TAB 2 , it inittially had android version ICE CREAM SANDWICH 4.0.3 on it. ONe evening i got this pop up notification regarding upgrading software on my tablet , I thought of giving it a shot . OFCourse who does not want to be updated with the latest technologies , so i was excited about it . I clicked on the confirm button , then it started the downloading the software update which was for jelly bean android version 4.1.1 . The download was operating through OTA and it took about 25 minutes to get it download .The file size was somewhere around 350 mb . Then i extracted the s/w update file , then installation started . BUT after my tabet was finally done with the installation part , i got this freaking bad look of the update . The new software didnt had any screenshot shortcut button which used to be in ICS . There was no battery shortcut on the main screen which was really frustrating coz evrything u have to open the settings to checkout how much battery your phone is left with . The notification panel took some top part of my tablet , screen size is now somehow shortened. THE MAIN ISSUES THAT I FACED WITH THIS JELLY BEAN VERSION WERE - 1.Once you start up with the music player , you can never close it down . You will have to end up by force closing it from the task manager. 2.Video editor always end up with a force close issue. 3. Even though there was no screenshot button , but somehow i found a way for taking the screenshots. You can actually take screenshots by pressing together power off button and sound decrease button for about 2 seconds . But you can never make an edit to these screenshots , which you could have done in ICS. SO it was bigtime downgrade. 4. Coming up to the applications panel . As u can see the application panel has taken so much of the top space . SO the screen is further shortened over here. 5. Coming up to the last and the main thing - THE BATTERY USAGE a well even though i keep my screen to the minimum brightness level and there are hardly any widgets placed on my screen , still the battery used by screen is never less than 40 . b Device idle uses battery percentage which never has never a number less than 10 . c AND some apps always keep using the battery even if they are closed . THE PROOF IS RIGHT UP HERE - SO if u have any questions or comments to post , u can post then just down here below -
