Design and Tuning of Fractional order Cascade Controller

Cascade Controller has been designed in SIMULINK by replacing the Integer order PIDs (IO-PIDs) by Fractional order PID controller. Response obtained has much less time response parameters and better disturbance rejection capability than normal cascade controllers. Smith Predictor tuning method has been applied. The design have been implemented in Boiler Drum Level control and a stable response have been obtained even after giving a disturbance to the system.
