  • SLCL is an ISO 9002 certified, Stock Exchange Listed Public Limited company having turnover of US$ 400 Million, into business of manufacturing 100% Cotton Fabric, Denim, Bottom Weight, Wider Width, Suiting & Shirting, Technical Textiles, Fusible Interlining, Terry Towel, Dyeing, Printing, Processing and other non-woven business, having setup a Garment manufacturing and Export Company recently at Roorkee. Apart from above, company has its India’s first plant for manufacturing Bullet Proof Vehicles, Jackets, Helmets etc and a Zipper Plant including 3 Power Plant for 12.0 MW each. The Group has 6 Units in Kanpur region and its Head Office, where as the Corporate Office is at Delhi and two units at Roorkee, one at Noida and one in Sonipat.
  • 1. Manpower Planning: Responsible for budgeting and accordingly doing manpower planning within the budgeted cost for all departments of the company / Group.
    2. Permanent staffing: Planning and implementing strategies to attract the best talent by using various methods of recruitment on permanent and temporary basis. Handled all the recruitment & selection process for all profit centers independently.
    3. Campus Recruitment: Developed a method of interview / test and selection; empanelled the tope Engineering Institutes / Apparel / Textile Fashion colleges for selection.
    4. Talent Acquisition:- Planning / Budgeting and executing manpower requirement / ensuring all backup documents like JD, MRF and other details in place/Liaise with the candidates till their joining/Developing good vendors/ Shortlist and screen candidates in liaison with HODs for interviews. Maintaining the data bank of resumes and continuously browse the websites for spotting talents. Do research on Recruitments systems/process to reduce the cycle time.
    5. Temp staffing: Brought solutions for hiring staff on temporary / contract basis.
    6. Training Need Analysis: Assessing relevant training needs for staff individuals and organization in consultation with departmental heads, arranging training courses and programmed necessary to meet training needs through identifying, selecting and managing external/ internal trainings.
    7. Induction: Initial training / orientation programmes.
    8. Retention: Taking innovative initiatives for employee’s retention and motivation. Working out the plans and strategies on Increment, Incentive in order to retain the potential employees and to minimize the turnover of staff.
    9. Job Description: Developing job descriptions / clarifying job roles, Preparing Skill Matrix etc, Competence Mapping, Compensation Benchmarking, and Training need analysis and developing training programs.
    10. Manpower utilization: Assessing under-utilised manpower - redeployment / job enrichment and multiskilling through Job Orientation.
    11. HR Policies: Develop / define HR policies / rules / Salary structure for Project Sites in India and abroad.
    12. Performance Appraisals: - Developed and implemented a workable system : Defining KRA / KPI and evaluating them on the basis of achievement against each KPI.
    13. OB Assessment / OD Intervention: Having done assessment of organizational behavior and successfully introduced Organizational Development Intervention tools to strategically organize the company as per best practices of the industry.
    14. Assessed and awarded confirmation / promotion to around 50000s of employees in the current & past companies.
    15. Increments awarded to 80000s of employees for number of times in the current company and past companies.
