My Fuel Consumption (MFC) is a web application used to help the Bureau Veritas’ clients in the IMO DCS validation. IMO DCS are the new regulations that are being incorporated for all those ships having 5000 or more gross tonnage, as these are the 85% ships that account for CO2 emission. Under IMO DCS, ships need to collect consumption data for each type of fuel oil they use as well as other data like distance travelled, time spent at sea, etc. IMO DCS validation refers to the obtaining of compliance for SEEMP (Ship Energy Efficiency Management Plan). The MFC application helps the clients by digitizing this compliance process. The clients can fill in, submit the SEEMP through MFC application, and obtain the confirmation of compliance certificate.
