Are insurance policies a good option for savings and return?
As insurance agents describe that we will get good return than FD , there is guaranteed benefit etc , is it true? Should we invest in insurance policies?

Conbine Insurance and saving plans neither give good returns nor give eligible sum insured. For Insurance please take term plans based on your annual income, sum assured can be 15-20 times of annual income. And for investment use other option like shares, mutual funds, real estate, gold ETF etc.Modal content

The purpose served by FD and that of an Insurance Policy are totally different.
FD's are purely savings instrument and are more liquid than an Insurance policy and does not cover any risks. Whereas, an Insurance policy covers your life against specific risks based on whay type of Insurance policy you are opting for. In case of an FD the Banker or receiver of funds promises a specific rate of interest for the said time period and pays you that. Whereas in case of an Insurance Policy you pay a premium to cover the risk and you do also get a performance based Bonus at the end of the Insurance term purely based on the type of Insurance you are opting for.Modal content
