  • cDNA library and Genomic library is a type of DNA library. DNA library is a collection of DNA sequences of different organism for different purpose. cDNA is the complementary DNA which are synthesized from mRNA using reverse transcriptase enzyme and library means collection so cDNA library means entire collection of expressed part of DNA sequences that are formed from mRNA which carry only coding region (Exon) and non coding region removed using RNA splicing process, coding region used for protein synthesis while Genomic library is the collection of entire set of genome from genomic DNA which consist both coding (Exon) and non coding (intron) region. That's why cDNA libraries are preferred over genomic libraries.
