Why Activation Energy can't be Negative?

'Negative' in terms of numerical value.

  • As the rate of reaction increases with temperature therefore the products formation is always more than that of reactants.Thus activation energy i.e the minimum energy required to get reactants converted into products is always positive.
     

  • Activation energy is always positive because
    it is the energy require by reactants to get converted into products.And energy if negative products are not formed.
