Specific heat and tempreture... Relation

Why the specific heat increase with increase in tempreture.. Plz explain ..?

  • these is because the internal energy of an object has contributions from the translational, rotational, and vibrational energies of molecules. The energy of each of these modes is in general proportional to the temperature of the object (in normal (non-quantum) conditions, temperature roughly measures the average energy per degree of freedom in the material). The heat capacity is essentially this constant of proportionality, as you can check from the definition above. As extra modes contribute to the energy, this constant of proportionality gets higher.
