K,L,M,N,O,P are the six trees in a garden.Neither M nor N is the tallest tree.Tree L is taller than P but shorter than tree K.Tree O is as tall as tree P but taller than M.which of the following is the tallest tree? A) O. B) M. C)K. D)L

  • Answer: C
    From the above it is clear that M and N are not the tallest. So the remaining are K,L,O & P. L>P & L<K there fore K>L>P. And  O=P & P>M. Therefore 'K' is the tallest among all.

  • Tree K (option C) is the tallest tree.                     L>P,.    L<K.,    O=P,.    O>M,.    since O is as tall as P and P is shorter than L. L is taller than both P and O.Also L is shorter than K and the trees M and N can't be the tallest which leaves us with the tree K being the tallest.
