Why to use Nipple plain both ends when we can use pipe??

  • Yes you can use pipe if nipple not available but ensure that rating of nipple should match pipe schedule

  • Nipple Pbe is used for connecting various fittings and it has a hexagonal shape in the middle for tightening with the spanner easily where as using a short piece of pipe is inconvenient for pipe wrench and has to be threaded both sides on a lathe and therefore more expensive.
