Responsibilities
  • ? My responsibilities include process & product quality improvements by using DMAIC and driving NPI’s in terms of establishing process.

    ? Trouble shooting day-to-day process issues and developing solutions to monitor improvements.

    ? Monitoring all exchange and in-house requirements.

    ? Proposing and procuring JIG’s, Fixtures etc., by identifying the difficulty and CTQ’s in assembly process for reducing cycle time.

    ? Performing quality checks like Calibration, V&V, and Qualification etc. on Tools, equipment’s and machines as per their requirement.

    ? Working with cross functional teams in implementing changes in the manufacturing and coordinating the changes at the supplier end (ECO) for a smooth production.

    ? Customer complaint handling with 8D reports and monitoring the trends in quality data (Yields, DPU, Scrap, and CAPA).

    ? Resolves process problems using QC tools and related improvements.

    ? Providing strategic support, guidance and training to production team.

    ? Conducting Method study for increasing the productivity through combined work steps removing the non-value added tasks & the development of effective work practice.

    ? Recommending revision of Material handling, alterations in equipment, layout to increase productivity and improve standards.

    ? Interacting with Suppliers globally to improve Product Quality by identifying Manufacturing issues, developing cost-effective solutions and overseeing successful implementation in to production.

    ? Developing and creating quality documents for the purpose of planning and inspection of parts based on the classification with respect to their functioning.

    ? Reviewing and Investigating the Failed Parts in MRB (Material Review Board) by following RMA process which leads to develop and manage process planning instruction sheets and rework procedures (Manufacturing & Supplier).

    ? Closely working with EMS suppliers in implementing Functional tests and in debugging of failed PWA’s.
Achievements
  • ? Supported Materials team from manufacturing in the major Supplier Transfer for PWA’s.

    ? Achieved Excellence Award from GEHC Asia Manufacturing Manager in reducing the MRB INVENTORY Value less than 100K USD for consecutive four quarters and made it as best practice to all the ASIA manufacturing sites.

    ? Rewarded as best performance for V&V completion with in limited time for Re-layout of manufacturing line.

    ? Active member of the EHS team for LOTO and Emergency Preparedness & Fire Protection Element’s and successfully implemented the findings in the facility.

    ? Driven a small Six Sigma project in implementing the functional tests at supplier end and achieved good quality parts which lead in decreasing DPU (Defective Parts per Unit) in manufacturing.

    ? Successfully installed Humidity Chambers to extend shelf life of Labels in order to decrease the scrap inflow and saved an amount of 5K USD every quarter.

    ? Designed and accommodated Line layouts in Shop floor for NPI’s.

    ? Achieved good recognition for implementing a Support Central Work Flow for MRB Process.

    ? Actively participated in Lean Action Work Out for relocating the stores in the facility.

    ? Improved cost effective packaging for safety parts, which resulted in decreasing transit damages.

    ? Appreciated for finding test gaps and successfully implementing ICT & FCT fixtures for two PWA’s and reduced DPPM from 5% to 1%.

    ? Successfully converted all Non-Defined Consumables (NDC’s) from Non-ROHS to ROHS as a part of ROHS conversion program.
