How team works together if the team leader is not playing an effective role?

Do you think working under a team leader sometimes becomes negative as they don't let you shine more than themselves?

  • If team leader do not take an initiative then no team member will move forward to take initiative. Sometimes team leader will not allow team members to take an initiative because he dislikes his team members to be shined more than him.

  • I think you are mixing GROUP with TEAM. 

    In a team, there is no designated leader. Leadership in a team is rotating based on the situation. This is in contrast to a group where you have a designated leader, who is generally a manager than (not) a leader. After studing about teams, please check if you are working in a team or a group.

    If the team leader is not playing an effective role, someone else who does will take over. In a team, team shins not any individual team member. The responsibility and credits are shared in a team.

  • Being a team leader is not to boss over the other members rather it's to work along with the team in helping and guiding them through. Leadership qualities if good then any member of the team would not have problem in working under them. Also there is importance of a team leader and choosing such would b better than the other members, and the team leader should also strive to enhance the abilities of the team,allowing them to also grow.

But as a team leader he should not give a change to team members to think that they are working under his leader, a leadership quality is to create a comfort zone to his team so that without any partiality and leader has to give opportunity to team to cm up with own ideas... It should be a team work but not working under team or working under leader... Leader is only to guid but not to order if he order definitely it would be a pressure to work under team leader... And the main thing leader should know one thing..people will not do what we say, people will do what we do... This is the team sld wrk
