In order to improve the level of competition amongst Youth4work members, a new feature has been introduced in the talent forums i.e. Upvote and Downvote.

What is an Upvote or Downvote?

Youth4work members are now actively engaging in productive discussions and debates in all talent forums. Whether be politics or sports, education or career choices, everyone is offering their unique point of view.

Since Youth4work is a community of and for the Youth, we leave the final verdict of whether a comment by any user in talent forum is good or bad.

For instance, if you think someone has answered a question in any talent forum using proper logic and facts, you can support his/ her views by giving an upvote.

In case you are not satisfied by someone’s answer, you can denote by selecting to downvote his/her answer.

How to Upvote or Downvote in Talent Forum?

In every forum that you attend to, you can easily spot an upward arrow and downward arrow on the left side, with a numeric value in between.

Click on the upward arrow to give that particular comment an upvote.

Click on the downward arrow to give a downvote.

An upvote will increase the value of your answer in a talent forum. An upvote is denoted by a +1 in your reputation counter holding +10 points in Reputation Board. You can also see who voted for you.

But beware, a downvote can decrease that particular value as it provides a -1 score and will lead to -10 points on the reputation board. A negative rating on your answer in any forum may end up affecting your yRank.

Don't be alarmed. Here are a few ways to ensure you get an upvote throughout active forum activities’

How to avoid getting a Downvote

1. Build professional connections with highly active Youth4work members as they can always vouch for you.

2. Share your answers/suggestion on social media platforms like facebook, google plus and twitter to invite your friends.

3. Always back your answers with proper logic.

4. Avoid making any silly mistakes and grammatical errors while answering. There are always a few grammar Nazis.

5. Do not use any negative comment or foul language. Not only will it award you a downvote, you might also get banned from the group by the Forum Moderator.

So, keep it professional, and let your logic and thought process be the judge of your intelligence.
