Why people are don't have any aware of English knowledge ? Why?

Particularly in village side and government school and some other areas

  • Because no one has the courtesy to teach them or spent time with them . The current generation are money minded so they join the private schools. But i am very happy that few souls are taking initiatives to teach english in the undeveloped areas. If everyone of us take up an initiative we can bring our nation to be a land educated indians

  • Because it is not used much in speaking as well as in writing in comparison of other languages. Its not compulsory laungage that everyone should have knowledge about it. People don't use it because they think that if they spoke wrong then others would make fun of them and may laugh at them too.

  • they do not acquire proficiency in languages or communication skills because the teachers never take their job seriously.  Take for instance the students of zphs and other govt medium schools; their ability to communicate in English is practically zero as the teachers who teach English language make no efforts to impart them with the skills of listening, reading, witting and speaking.  In most cases, the teachers who teach English in non English medium schools are not even qualified to teach the language.  That is why these children never learn to write and speak in English and consequently face serious communication problems when they go for higher studies.

A survey named called the Annual Status of Education Report (ASER), shows that even though the number of rural students attending schools is rising, but more than half of the students in fifth grade are unable to read a second grade text book and are not able to solve simple  mathematical problems. Not only this, the level of maths and reading is further declining. Though efforts are being made, they are not in the right direction. The reason cited for this problem in surveys is the increasing number of single classroom to educate students from more than one grade. In some states attendance of teachers and students is also declining. These are a few reasons why schools have failed to educate rural India.

This is same as that of we don't any t ee acher to learn our native tongue we learn it from surrounding our govt is not able to create the environment rich in english. particularly in village area.

    Because their life is not affected by the English language and they can communicate with it. If someday they woke up and find that every shopkeeper is speaking in english and not understanding them then they will starting learning english because they have to get their basic needs.

  • It all depends on Individual interest. It hardly takes few months and hard work to excel in a particular language only thing is one should have a tendency to learn it. It doesnt matter if one is from village side or vice versa. Just talk and correct from your mistakes, convert others negative opinion into positive. That is how you learn. Interaction is must.

  • Basically people do not show much interest in learning the language, sometimes because of superstious beliefs that still exists and coming to government scholls teachers do not show special interest in making the students to learn and making them importance of other languages same as mother language, the change can be brought in by specialy by youth by taking the initiation and making the children learn and importance of english in the real world.

  • What i feel is that english language is required when you want to communicate with the ones who don't know the regional or national language. 
    Its totally their call if they want to learn any secondary language, its not their fault if they don't know; 
    instead I will say its our education system which is copying western education system any trying to make us adopt the same. 
    Other countries like China, Korea, Japan undergo their education in their regional or national language, english is not a barrior for them but here in india it is.
